👋 Hey, Ruchin here! Welcome to this week’s edition of the ✨Top of the Lyne✨ newsletter. Each week we publish the hottest news from the beautiful world of product-led growth! (PLG)
The outcome we're shooting for is simple... to get enough folks excited about the product-led world that we so dearly love ❤️

Firstly, it’s our one-month anniversary! And we couldn’t be more grateful 🙏🏻
It’s been a month since we launched the weekly newsletter! And we’ve been blown away by your response. Our (not so) little community of PLG enthusiasts has more than quadrupled over the last month 🙌🏻 and now spans across the ranks of founders, leaders & investors at some of the most exciting PLG companies in the world. We’re super excited to have you here! 🥳
It’d be awesome if you could bring your friends along! Share this post with three of your friends or colleagues (please 🥺🙈) who’re as excited about PLG as all of us 🤗
Now back to our regularly scheduled programming 😌 … let’s jump right in 👇🏻

SaaStr is backkk! …. ‘nuff said 😎
Thank you Jason Lemkin and team for making life feel a bit normal again 😌 🙏🏻
Amplitude went public this week 💯 But a little-known fact about them - they pivoted early in their journey. The founders went as far as to offer investors a chance to take their money back since that wasn’t the idea they initially funded 😱 Thank the SaaS gods for Paul Graham’s intervention below👇🏻
PLG PLG everywhere 🌎 Here’s the tech stack Ramp used to blitz scale. We couldn’t help but notice the overwhelming presence of PLG tools across the board - Retool, Slack, Segment, Dbt, Figma, Twilio, Zapier… the list goes on!
M&A playbooks will be at the heart of mammoth PLG companies 🚀 Just look at Salesforce. They may not have the sexiest product out there, but boy do they know how to acquire and scale companies! NYSE:CRM acquired Demandware, Mulesoft, Tableau between 2-5 years ago, and the businesses are growing faster today (on a larger revenue base) than when they were acquired! 🤯Absolutely best in class M&A ! With the influx of 💰💰💰 for all of these private 🦄, the ones who start early & build a M&A playbook will be well set up to dominate in the future. Challenge is trying to find the founders before they are offered VC money!
And what better way to prove the value of M&A playbooks in PLG businesses than a deep dive into Atlassian 🔱
Growth Stories 🚀
Distilling the land and expand GTM engine (Read PLG brilliance) that skyrocketed Loom's user base to 14m+ users across 200k+ accounts! 🤩
Fundraising, Venture Capital and Exits 🤑
Amplitude went public this week through a direct listing and the stock price soared over 50% on the first day 🚀
One of our favorite companies out there enabling product-led growth since 2012!
Read.ai raised 10M this week to further build out a much-needed use case in the remote work world - a dashboard to alert meeting participants when things are going well or not so well 😬 🙌🏻
Launches, events, and releases
Mmhmm launched its new iOS app - OOO. No more boring video calls on tiny phone screens 💪🏻
Our product designers in-house have always been mind-blown by Figma’s manic feature release pace ⚡️ And September certainly didn’t disappoint. Some super cool features launched this month 🎨
Nerding out on PLG 🤓📚
We are clearly super excited about Amplitude’s IPO 🤩
