Never knew the origin of 'first principles' even after reading 100s of business books. Or maybe this was a great gentle reminder. Loved the analogy - huge fan of Gong! The gmail signups bit is super interesting - will test it out.

Gong Labs managed to validate (or often invalidate) a lot of assumptions previously held as 'art' in Sales - true to first principles. The back the art of mimicking, talk vs. listen ratios, mentions of competition - with hard data. Aspirational content game. 🫡
